Easter Pageant

This year, Cole got to see his Dad in the Easter Pageant. It was so great to watch Cole watch the pageant. He was so proud and retained so much of the program. In fact now, every night before bed, he turns out the lights in his room, gets the flashlight for a spot light, puts a pretend beard on Ty, and we do the whole Easter Pageant there in his room. He plays the part of the angel, John the Baptist, the dead boy ( in the pageant its really the "dead girl" but oh well ), the crippled boy, etc etc. Its so sweet to hear him sing "I Know He Lives" at the end each night. Here is a picture of us after the first night Cole got to see it.

It was time...

So if you know our Cole at all, you know that he has been LOVING guitars since he was about 2 years old. The Christmas after my dad died, my mom got a Wii and he has been hooked ever since. He'll play anything and call it a guitar. He has broom guitars, sword guitars, shovel guitars etc etc. He can REALLY rock out too. Its pretty cool. So, we finally broke down and got him a wii. Grandma Dar got him the Wii and we got him the guitar hero part. What fun!

Here is Cole at age two with his "blow up guitar"...

Playing Guitar Hero at Peter Piper Pizza. Usually there are about 5 people behind him watching him in amazement. Especially when we tell them that we didn't even have the game at home. In fact, just today, at Cole's school, an older child said to Cole, " I've seen you at Peter Piper, playing Guitar hero. You are awesome!" So yah, our kid is famous. HA!

And here he is, now 5 years old, with his Wii. Finally! It did feel "time" tho. I've definately been holding off for a while now. So its so fun for him to have finally gotten one! Rock on Cole!
